Dewitt Rankin

Dewitt was born on March 27th, 1888 in Dundee, MI. Dewitt's father was William Henry Rankin and his mother was Amy Ursla Kimpton. His paternal grandparents were Orlean Rankin and Hannah Miller. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Myron, Laverne, Elmer, Alta, Amy, Marietta, Margaret, Henrietta, Grace, Flora and Blanche. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 46 on September 15th, 1934. He was buried at the Pleasantview Cemetery Petersburg, MI.¹
