Jane was born on August 25th, 1633 in Eckington, Derbyshire, England.  Jane's father was Thomas STANIFORTH and her mother was Anne (UNKNOWN).  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas STANIFORTH and Margaret SCOTTE.  She had a brother and seven sisters, named George, Anne, Elizabeth, Mary, Troth, Anne, Jane and Margaret.  She was the youngest of the nine children.
