Elizabeth was born on December 26th, 1619 in Eckington, Derbyshire, England.  Elizabeth's father was Thomas STANIFORTH and her mother was Anne (UNKNOWN).  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas STANIFORTH and Margaret SCOTTE.  She had a brother and seven sisters, named George, Anne, Mary, Troth, Anne, Jane, Margaret and Jane.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.
