Anne was born on June 8th, 1628 in Eckington, Derbyshire, England.  Anne's father was Thomas STANIFORTH and her mother was Anne (UNKNOWN).  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas STANIFORTH and Margaret SCOTTE.  She had a brother and seven sisters, named George, Anne, Elizabeth, Mary, Troth, Jane, Margaret and Jane.  She was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
