Jane was born on July 27th, 1629 in Eckington, Derbyshire, England.  Jane's father was Thomas STANIFORTH and her mother was Anne (UNKNOWN).  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas STANIFORTH and Margaret SCOTTE.  She had a brother and seven sisters, named George, Anne, Elizabeth, Mary, Troth, Anne, Margaret and Jane.  She was the seventh oldest of the nine children.
