Thomas was born on March 7th, 1593 in Eckington, Derbyshire, England.  Thomas' father was Thomas STANIFORTH and his mother was Margaret SCOTTE.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas STANIFORTH and Jane (UNKNOWN).  He had a brother and three sisters, named George, Jane, Ann and Grace.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 53 in 1646.
