Jane was born on March 5th, 1589 in Eckington, Derbyshire, England.  Jane's father was Thomas STANIFORTH and her mother was Margaret SCOTTE.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas STANIFORTH and Jane (UNKNOWN).  She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, George, Ann and Grace.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
