Maggie Katherine was born on March 6th, 1893 in Doyle, White Co, TN.  Maggie Katherine's father was James Pleasant Adair and her mother was Mary Dora Simmons.  Her paternal grandparents were Pleasant E. Adair and Nancy Jane Simmons; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson 'Jack' Simmons and Canzantia A. 'Canzada' Stipe. She had a brother and three sisters, named Louis William, Lillie Mae, Beulah and Nola Ellis.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Russell Pleasant, James Pleasant, Roy Lester, Billy, Charles Herbert, Vina Lee, Maude Lela, Leffie Mae, Ethel Katherine, Mattie Lee and Mary Ella.  She died at the age of 86 on April 2nd, 1979 in Doyle, White Co, TN.  She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Doyle, White Co, TN.
