Mattie Lee Adair

Mattie Lee was born on October 15th, 1915 in Doyle, White Co, TN. Mattie Lee's father was James Pleasant Adair and her mother was Crinner Simmons. Her paternal grandparents were Pleasant E. Adair and Nancy Jane Simmons. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Russell Pleasant, James Pleasant, Roy Lester, Billy, Charles Herbert, Vina Lee, Maude Lela, Leffie Mae, Ethel Katherine and Mary Ella. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Louis William, Lillie Mae, Maggie Katherine, Beulah and Nola Ellis. She died at the age of 87 on August 17th, 2003 in Chattanooga, Hamilton Co, TN.
