Maud Matilda de was born about 1082 in Valois,Bretagne,France.  Maud Matilda de's father was The Great Capet, Count Of Vermandois Hugh and her mother was Adelaide Countess Of Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were King Henri I Of France and Anastasiya Agmunda Yaroslavna , Princess of Kiev; her maternal grandparents were Count Herbert IV De Vermandois and Adela De Valois De Vexin. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Ralph I Count, Henry, Lord of, Simon de, William de, Constance de, Lady Isabel Elizabeth, Agnes de and Beatrix de.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died in 1130.
