Constance de was born about 1079 in Valois, Bretagne, France.  Constance de's father was The Great Capet, Count Of Vermandois Hugh and her mother was Adelaide Countess Of Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were King Henri I Of France and Anastasiya Agmunda Yaroslavna , Princess of Kiev; her maternal grandparents were Count Herbert IV De Vermandois and Adela De Valois De Vexin. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Ralph I Count, Henry, Lord of, Simon de, William de, Lady Isabel Elizabeth, Maud Matilda de, Agnes de and Beatrix de.  She is the fourth oldest of the nine children.
