King of France was born about 0900 in Paris, Seine, France.1 King of France's father was King Robert I King of France and his mother was of Vermandois Queen of France Beatrice. His paternal grandparents were The Strong Duke of France Robert I and Adelaide of Tours; his maternal grandparents were I Count of Vermandois Herbert and Beatrice De Morvois Princess of France. He had five brothers and a sister, named Hugh, The Great, Hugh Of, Amaury (Almaric) I of Montfort, "The White" "The Great" of France of Boulogogne and Emma Princess of. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Amaury I Seigneur de and Princess Of France. He died on June 17th, 0956 in Deurdan,Dourdan,France. He was buried in September 0956.2 3 General Notes

French duke; son of King Robert I and father of Hugh Capet. Excluded fromthe succession on his father's death by his brother-in-law Raoul, hesupported the candidacy of Louis IV, the Carolingian heir, after Raoul'sdeath (936).
Hugh hoped to rule through this weak king who had been raised in England.Louis IV attempted to increase his strength, however, and his reign wasmarked by warfare between king and vassal, in which Hugh, excommunicated(948) at the insistence of Louis, was forced to submit (950). AlthoughHugh never held the title of king, his vast possessions made him thevirtual ruler of France.
