Hugh was born about 0895 in Paris, Seine, France.1   Hugh's father was King Robert I King of France and his mother was of Vermandois Queen of France Beatrice.  His paternal grandparents were The Strong Duke of France Robert I and Adelaide of Tours; his maternal grandparents were I Count of Vermandois Herbert and Beatrice De Morvois Princess of France. He had five brothers and a sister, named The Great, King of France, Hugh Of, Amaury (Almaric) I of Montfort, "The White" "The Great" of France of Boulogogne and Emma Princess of. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Amaury I Seigneur de and Princess Of France.  He died on June 16th, 0956 in Deurdan, France.  He was buried in St Denis Abbey, Seine, France.1 1
