Duke of Burgundy was born about 0946.1 Duke of Burgundy's father was King of France Hugh "The Great" Magnus, King of France and his mother was Gerberga von Sachsen Princess of Germany. His paternal grandparents were King Robert I King of France and of Vermandois Queen of France Beatrice. He had five brothers and four sisters, named , King of France Capet, Otto Eudes , Duke of Burgundy, Duke of Lower Burgundy, Heinrich I, Heribert [illegitimate], Beatrix , of France, Lady of Normandy, Emma and Beatrix of France, Duchess of Upper Lorraine. He had seven half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named Herbert Hugues, King of France, Prince of the Franks, Charles, Charles Duke of Lower, Duke of Lower Lorraine, Charles, Alberade of, Countess of Vermandois, Hedwig, Countess of Luxembourg, Albrade of Lorraine, Gerberge of Lorraine, Princess of the Franks, Matilda of France, Matilda (Maud) Princess of and of France, Queen of Burgundy. He died in 1002 in Chateau, Pouilly-sur-Saone. He was buried in St.Germain-d'Auxerre.1 1 General Notes
