Henry I de was born about 1175 in Thurrock Grey, Essex, England.1   Henry I de's father was John De Grey Of Standlake and his mother is Elena de Clare.  His paternal grandparents were Anchitel De Grey Of Thurrock and Matilda (Eva) De Reviers; his maternal grandparents were Roger "The Good" 5th Earl de Clare and Maud or Matilda de St. Hilary du Harcouet. He had a half-sister named Eve de '.  He died about 1219 in Codnor, Derbyshire, England.1
