William SANFORD 
William was born on August 4th, 1709 in Portsmouth, Newton, Rhode Island. William's father was William SANFORD and his mother was Hope SISSON. His paternal grandparents were Samuel SANFORD and Sarah WODELL; his maternal grandparents were George SISSON and Sarah LAWTON. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Richard, George, Joseph, Sarah, Mary, Ruth and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died in Of, Northeast Town, Dutchess, NY.-
