Joseph SANFORD 
Joseph was born on September 2nd, 1715 in Portsmouth, Newton, Rhode Island. Joseph's father was William SANFORD and his mother was Hope SISSON. His paternal grandparents were Samuel SANFORD and Sarah WODELL; his maternal grandparents were George SISSON and Sarah LAWTON. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Richard, William, George, Sarah, Mary, Ruth and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 63 in 1778 in , , Connecticut.-
