William I, known as The Lion, was born in 1143.  The Lion's father was Earl Henry Earl Of Huntingdon and his mother was Adam de Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were David I "The Saint" King Of Scotland and Matilda Maud deLens; his maternal grandparents were Earl William III de Warenne and Countess Isabel de Vermandois. He had a brother and three sisters, named David, Margaret, Margret and Ada Princess.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 71 on December 4th, 1214 in Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
