Elspit Riach

Elspit was born on July 2nd, 1847 in Dallas, Morayshire and her baptism took place there on August 1st, 1847. Elspit's father was William Riach and her mother was Janet Gordon. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Riach and Anna Cruickshank; her maternal grandparents were John Gordon and Elizabeth McIntosh. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, Alexander, John, Elizabeth, Jane, Helen, Janet and Ann. She was the nineth oldest of the ten children.
