Edward (Ned) Furey

Edward, known as Ned, was born on November 30th, 1856 in Bushfield and his baptism took place on November 30th, 1856 in Oranmore.¹   His godfather was Patt Furey and his godmother was Kate Dooly.  Ned's father was Thomas (Tom) Furey and his mother was Anne  Warde. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Martin, Thomas, Margaret, Eliza, Ellen and Bridget.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 83 on June 26th, 1940 in Bushfield.

‌Ned and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony on February 16th, 1901 in Oranmore.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Thomas, James, Mary and Julia.  There are no more children.

‌Ned and Bridget were married in a religious ceremony on February 16th, 1901 in Oranmore by John M Francis and witnessed by Michael Corcron  Margaret Grealy.  They had two sons and five daughters, named John, Michael, Delia, Catherine, Norah, Margaret and Margaret.
