Eliza Furey

Eliza was born on September 29th, 1862 in Gurrane and her baptism took place on September 29th, 1862 in Oranmore.¹   Her godfather was Rodger Rielly and her godmother was Winifred Rielly.  Eliza's father was Thomas (Tom) Furey and her mother was Anne  Warde. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Ned, Martin, Thomas, Margaret, Ellen and Bridget.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.

‌Eliza and Patrick were married in a religious ceremony on June 13th, 1885 in Oranmore by priest John Usher and witnessed by James Furey, Mary Caulfield.  They had five sons and three daughters, named Thomas, Patrick, James, Roger, Martin, Margaret, Anne and Elizabeth.
