Thomas Furey

Thomas was born on September 16th, 1896 in Bushfield.  Thomas' father was Edward (Ned) Furey and his mother was Catherine Reilly.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas (Tom) Furey and Anne  Warde. He had a brother and two sisters, named James, Mary and Julia.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named John, Michael, Delia, Catherine, Norah, Margaret and Margaret.  He died at the age of 67 on January 15th, 1964 in Galway Hospital.

‌Thomas and Bridget were married in a religious ceremony on February 16th, 1928 in Oranmore by priest Mathew Griffin and witnessed by John Loughlin Nora Fahy.
