Bridget was born on May 14th, 1897 in Gurrane. Bridget's father was Rodger Furey and her mother was Margaret Kelly. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Patrick, Michael, Roddie, Maggie and Annie. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, James and Mary. She died at the age of 75 on February 15th, 1973. She was buried in Oranmore.
Bridget and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on February 16th, 1928 in Oranmore by priest Mathew Griffin and witnessed by John Loughlin Nora Fahy.
