John Furey

John was born in 1896 in Galway.  John's father was Rodger Furey and his mother was Margaret Kelly. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Patrick, Michael, Roddie, Maggie, Annie and Bridget.  He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, James and Mary.
