Elias was born in 1838.  Elias' father was Amos Glover and his mother was Elizabeth Gilmore. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Harrison, Alpheus, John, Martin, Julia, Matilda, Sarah and Eliza.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Richard, William, Joseph, Amos, Charles, Mary Ann, Elizabeth , Nancy  and Maria.  He died at the age of 37 on September 9th, 1875.
