Charles was born on May 17th, 1818.  Charles' father was Amos Glover and his mother was Drusilla Spurgin. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Richard, William, Joseph, Amos, Mary Ann, Elizabeth , Nancy  and Maria.  He was the second youngest of the nine children. He had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Harrison, Alpheus, John, Martin, Elias, Julia, Matilda, Sarah and Eliza.  He died at the age of 56 on October 18th, 1874.
