Philip Thomas was born on January 18th, 1930 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska.1 Philip Thomas' father was Lee Roy KENNY and his mother was Clare CONNOR. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Francis KENNY and Mary GILMORE; his maternal grandparents were James H CONNOR and Kate MAY. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John Francis, Daniel Leroy, Jerome, David Anthony, Lee Roy, Mary (Moo) Kathleen and Rosanne. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died due to Heart at the age of 77 on November 21st, 2007 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska.General Notes
Uncle Phil was a tenor in the Union Pacific quartet. He still actively sings in his church choir. My son Daniel Philip was named after him.

KENNY-Philip T., age 77 years, Omaha, , died 11/21/07 of complications from a severe stroke. Born in Omaha on 1/18/1930, Phil worked 41 years for the Union Pacific Railroad, starting as a busboy at Union Station and retiring at age 58 as lobbyist and Executive Director of the Nebraska Railroad Association. He served in the United States Army during the early 1950s, attaining the rank of corporal. While at Union Pacific, he was lead tenor in the Union Pacific Quartet for more than 20 years. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Parish since the early 1940s, held several positions on the parish council, was a Eucharistic Minister and sang for more than 50 years in the choir and as lead cantor. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and numerous civic and religious organizations. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Phil is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean Kenny; his children, Kathleen Koller, Thomas Kenny and Jane Stafford and husband Steve; 3 grandsons, Jake Koller, Dylan Stafford and Bryce Stafford; sister, Rosanne (Kenny) O'Harra, Des Moines, IA; more than 40 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Clare (Connor) Kenny; 5 brothers, Jack, Dan, Jerry, David, Lee; sister, Mary Kathleen.
Memorials to Creighton Preparatory School or St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Visitation begins Fri., 5 PM, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, followed by Vigil Service at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Sat., 10:30 AM, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
