Let me start right here stating that my Tobin records are a mess. I relied early on from information given to me from the McHale's and others. There is a lot of bad info out there that people have taken and went with it, including me
I would take any info lightly regarding the Tobin's and the May's, that I have posted..
The original name of Tobin was St. Aubyn, when they were Normans.
He was on the Ship "Fortitude that left from Cork Ireland with the Peter Robinson Settlers, destination was Douro, Petersborough, Ontario. Their they were given land and they resided at:
E Lot 10, con 3, Douro

Based on information I got in Oct 2014, I am guessing the family may have moved around some, but were generally from Kilbeney, Limerick. Just north 1-2 miles is the Garrageen mountains, which the Tithes Applotment show they are farming around 1823. With thier sons Thomas' information being around Mitchestown, confuses things, but I did not do this research. The info was given to me. Mitchelstown is about 3 miles south of Kilbeney, Limerick, into County Cork.

in 2015, i keep coming across records of a Patrick Tobin, born 1807 per the 1851 census. in church records, I find other patrick tobin, married showing father was a patrick, probably this one of 1807. could this also be a son of John? I am guessing yes. This Patrick, 1807, has a daughter, mary age 13 in 1851.
