Catheryn MURPHY, his granddaughter, stated his name was Patrick W. Gilmore. All my info from Zeta Chulik indicated his name was William Patrick Gilmore. Zeta did much reseach on this matter.
Catheryn MURPHY stated he was a house mover by trade. They came to Sioux City, IA from Dubuque, IA by covered wagon.
I was told by marie Reynolds that Patrick Gilmore served in the Union Army, as a priest, from 1862, until the end
of the war. He was with General Sherman on his march to the sea.
on ancestry.com, i saw it said William patrick Gilmore was born the same area I have, but on Jun 14, 1842
