After sitting down with Batt and Ellen Kenny from Kennystown, we all seem to be convinced that these records are correct. The Irish naming pattern seems to be quite convincing too.
My research seems to convince me that for sure, Richard and Thomas were children to them. Other records convince me that Sarah could also be a daughter.
NOTE: All of my uncertainties are placed in Bartholomew's notes. I needed to place these notes somewhere, so I can try to piece together things later. THESE NOTES ARE BELOW:
. Many used each other as godparents to their children and all seems to have come from the same area in Wicklow/Wexford area.
In my old FTM is a Martin Kenny. I disassociated him from this family because of lack of evidence, in Nov, 2004.
The information on Martin came from the a second marriage information of Martin Kenny, which stated Patrick and Julia O'Brien as his parents. (My guess in 2004) is that Martin is not a son to Bartholomew.
I also assumed the connection from Martin's death information in Smiths Falls, Ont. where it showed a Francis Hourigan as a witness to Martin's burial. Francis Hourigan was Thomas Kenny's son in law, who married Mary Kenny. One could assume that a family member witnessed this burial. The ages worked out good for Martin to be an older brother to Thomas by 2 years
These are others who were in the records in or near Smith Falls in the early years, around 1848-1880
Michael who married Amelia.

John Kenny abt 1842, wife Frances Duncan, see Black book #7 (prob. martins son)
Martin abt 1831, wife Catherin Tinnin and widow Kessle see Black book #8 ( same as Martin above)

Bridget abt 1836 see Black book #10
Hanora abt 1840 see Black book #11

Trevor James said: "I live in Croneyhorn, Wicklow which is the next townsland to Tomacork and Kilcavan would be a townsland on the far side of Tomacork -about two miles away. I think there are still Kennys living in Kilcavan......There are at least 70 Kennys interred in Tomacork and presumably similar numbers in other graveyards in the area. It is a fairly common name although most are related in some way. I have started to put all the gravestone names into a database and I will send you a copy when I finish, if you want....
In Tomacork graveyard there are two Bartholomew Kennys"

And about Catherine Kenny who married Thomas Toohey: he "...settled in two stages. He first occupied land along the boundary shared with South Burgess. Within a few years, Toohey moved to a small property on the north shore of Otter lake next to Peter Belanger. He also rented the Clergy Reserve next to it which Catherine Toohey later secured for the family."
