James KENNY 
James was born about 1793 in Ireland. James' father was Bartholomew KENNY and his mother was Anne BREEN. His paternal grandparents were James KENNY and Mary BYRNES; his maternal grandparents are John BREEN and Jean WILLIAMS. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Richard, Philip, Mary, Catherine and Sarah (Sarah). He was the oldest of the seven children.General Notes
I know that this James was in the Kilcavan area at the right time to be Anne and Batt's child, but other than the naming pattern fits perfectly, I have no other reason to put him there. ALL the Kennys in the early days DID follow the naming pattern very closely. There is no reason that they would not have a james as the first child. I know that Batts fathere was James, so therefore, his first son would be James.

On Ancestry, I found a record of a James of Ranalgh??, son of Bartholomew and Ann Brien of Rathfarnham/Dublin , who married Catherin Kearnes, daughter of Lawrence kearnes and Margaret Toowig, in July 22 1860. . John O'Neil had found tomacorck records that a james Kenny married Biddy Green. Not sureif this is the correct James with similar named parents.
NOTE, I never fully documented that my bartholomew and Anne Breen had a child, James, other that in the naming pattern, their first born male would typically be james. If this is them, It would be my first document staing the exisistance of James as a child to Batt and Ann breen. I placed the actualy marriage doc in James ancestry.com file,

James and Biddy were married in a religious ceremony in 1823 in Kilcavan, County Wicklow, Ireland. They had two sons and two daughters, named Thomas, Bartholemew, Anne and Cecilia.

Martin Kenny and Cath. Toole had as witnesses at their 1821 marriage: Catherine WALSH and Mary Kenny.
Interesting that both had two women for witnesses, and Cath. Walsh in both cases.
