Lee Roy KENNY 
Lee Roy was born on May 15th, 1932 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska. Lee Roy's father was Lee Roy KENNY and his mother was Clare CONNOR. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Francis KENNY and Mary GILMORE; his maternal grandparents were James H CONNOR and Kate MAY. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John Francis, Daniel Leroy, Jerome, David Anthony, Philip Thomas, Mary (Moo) Kathleen and Rosanne. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died due to Heart disease at the age of 46 on January 14th, 1979 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.General Notes
Lee was a Lt. Colonel in the Army. He had some heart trouble.
I was a pall barrier at Lee's funeral.
About his death, Bonnie wrote: Lee R. Kenny, Jr. had his first coronary infarct at age 38 at which time they found scarring from two previous ones about which he was unaware. He was disabled from the Army at age 40 and died of a massive coronary at age 46. Heart disease is a major Kenny illness. I consider alcholism a major contributor to this systemic coronary problem. Lee struggled with this the majority of his life. He never was professionally treated for it and abstained on his own. It was this abstention that created much of the heart disease. I consider the concealing of this dreaded Irish disease to have a crippling effect on their general health. My genetic clusters are associated with osteoarthriis. I have had two knee replacements. Adult onset diabetes due to obesity is a strong genetic factor on my mother's side.
In 2006, Aunt Bonnie wrote this about her husband, Lee:
I recall Lee remembering as a small child (baby Lee Roy as it were) being brought to SMM
on California and put standing on the desk to sing "The Good Ship Lollypop" for everyone. You all must have sung your little hearts out. He also said he was aware of how "powerful"
Clare Kenny was in the parish. She would come in with her fur coat and all the nuns
would be rather stunned by her always acknowledging her importance. Made a big impression on him. He also remembered as a small child (had to be very small as your dad died when he was three) your father putting a record on the gramaphone or whatever giving each child a pot and spoon as you all marched around the room to the music making your own pot and spoon band. Lots of memories of the early California house.
