Ida Louise JENNINGS 
Ida Louise was born on January 16th, 1896 in Plymouth, Devon, England.1 Ida Louise's father was Albion George JENNINGS and her mother was Martha HENDRA. Her paternal grandfather is Albion JENNINGS and her paternal grandmother was Sarah Ann BEER; her maternal grandparents were John HENDRA and Mary Jane ROWE. She had two brothers and five sisters, named George Frederick Hendra, Leonard, Ivy Maud Mary, Gwendoline May, Candace Myrtle, 'Baby' and Irene Beryl. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 42 on June 22nd, 1938 in Plymouth, Devon, England. She was buried on September 16th, 1938 in Ford Park, Plymouth, Devon, England.1 1 General Notes

Ida Louise Jennings was born in Plymouth, Devon 16 Jan 1896. She was the first child of Albion Jennings and Martha (nee Hendra). She had several siblings but only three of them survived into adulthood. Little is known about her early years. She married William John Flood at Holy Cross church, Plymouth 27 Aug 1917. They had two sons, William George John (Bill) b 3 Aug 1918 and Derek Douglas b 11 Nov 1926. Sadly Derek died at the age of 18 months from convulsions. It was said that he was a beautiful child who hardly ever cried and that he was just like an angel and too good to live! Ida's husband was from a fishermen family and was fond of boating. They owned a motor boat and he built his own punt with his son, Bill's help. But Ida's life was cut short when on the 22 Jun 1938 she died of a massive stroke and was buried at Ford Park Cemetery, Plymouth. The following year the second world war started and young Bill was called into the army and was taken prisoner and did not come back until the war ended in 1945. By that time his Father had also died so he had no direct family left.
