'Baby' JENNINGS 
'Baby' was born in 1907 in Plymouth, Devon, England.1 'Baby''s father was Albion George JENNINGS and her mother was Martha HENDRA. Her paternal grandfather is Albion JENNINGS and her paternal grandmother was Sarah Ann BEER; her maternal grandparents were John HENDRA and Mary Jane ROWE. She had two brothers and five sisters, named George Frederick Hendra, Leonard, Ida Louise, Ivy Maud Mary, Gwendoline May, Candace Myrtle and Irene Beryl. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died in 1907 in Plymouth, Devon, England.1 General Notes

All that is known about 'baby'Jennings is what was told by her sister Candace. She was the daughter of Albion Jennings and Martha (nee Hendra) and was born prematurely when Candace was quite young so one can only estimate the birth to have been about 1907. It was known that the child would not survive but she surprised everyone by living for several hours. When she died she was buried, so the story goes, in a cigar box because she was so small. There is no record of her existence. The laws then were not so stringent as they are today so her birth would not have been registered and she would have been buried with anyone who was being interred on that day without any record being made. But she did live and is as much a part of the family as any of the other children listed.
