  Emeline Webb was born September 1837 in Hickman Co, TN, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Mayfield Webb. The family moved to Effingham Co, IL about 1852. On January 6th, 1859, Emeline married widower Leonard W. Tarrant (who was the father of w children: George Newton Tarrant and Mary Elizabeth Tarrant from his first marriage, and was a son of Dr. Newton and Mary Sharp Tarrant). Emeline and her new family moved to Greene Co, MO sometime between 1864 and 1870. She and Leonard had more children: Albert William, John F., Monroe, Delcena, Andrew, and Stella Tarrant.
  Emeline died at the age of only 47 when her youngest child was just three. Her death record states she died of suppression of urine and obstruction of the bowels. Her death record gave her burial place as Hodges Cemetery, I am not sure if she has a tombstone.
  Her husband Leonard moved back to Effingham Co, IL where he was found living in 1910 with his daughter Stella's family. Then by 1920, he was found at the age of 86 living in a poorhouse in Riverside, Sedgwick Co, KS. He died in 1923 and is buried in Matfield Green Cemetery in Chase Co, Kansas along with their son Andrew's family.
