Hendrik was born in February 1716 in Aalburg and his baptism took place there on February 9th, 1716.1  Hendrik's father was Caspar Jacobszn Mans and his mother was Maria Hendriks Verdoorn.  His paternal grandparents were Jacobus Mans and Michieltje Dirckx; his maternal grandparents were Hendrik Janszn Verdoorn and Magdalena Ariens van der Flier. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Jakobus, Arien, Hermannus Wilhelmus, Jan, Willem, Philip, David, Giliana Caspers, Johanna and Magdalena.  He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 75 in December 1791 in Aalburg.  The funeral took place on December 8th, 1716 in Aalburg.2 2
