Catherine was born in 1783 in Tenterden, Kent, England and her baptism took place there on June 22nd, 1783.  Catherine's father was Thomas Reader and her mother was Sarah Merralls. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Richard, Judith, Mary, June, Hannah, Philly and Harriett.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 82 in 1865 in Tenterden, Kent, England.
