Emily was born in 1833 in Oakley, Hampshire and her christening took place on June 23rd, 1833 in Hannington, Hampshire.1   Emily's father was John Oliver and her mother was Harriett Matthews.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Oliver and Sarah Worte; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Matthews and Ann Dicker. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, Joseph, David, Thomas, Esau, Sarah, Ann, Mary, Elizabeth and Harriett.  She was the oldest of the eleven children.  She died due to a medical problem, Death certificate shows cause of death to be Chronic bronchitis, Acute bronchitis., at the age of 72 on September 17th, 1905 in Southampton, Hampshire.1
