Charles was born on October 10th, 1834 in St Pancras, Middlesex and his christening took place on November 2nd, 1834 in Saint Andrew, Holborn, Middlesex.1 2   Charles' father was Charles Norrington and his mother was Mary Ann Benton.  His maternal grandparents were Edward Benton and Ann Griffiths. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William, Mary , Emma and Jane.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 60 in March 1895 in Shoreditch, Middlesex.3
