Daniel Hockley

Daniel was born in 1747 in Thaxted, Essex and his christening took place on January 31st, 1747 in Thaxted Parish Church, Essex.¹² Daniel's father was James Hockley and his mother was Elizabeth Butcher. His paternal grandparents were William Hockley and Mary Bentley. He had five brothers and a sister, named James, Daniel, John, William, William and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
