James Thomas Hayes

James was born on July 30th, 1868 in Whitechapel, Middlesex.¹

James' father was James Thomas Hayes and his mother was Elizabeth Penn. His paternal grandparents were William Chetwyn Hayes and Maria Briggs; his maternal grandparents were Henry John Penn and Charlotte Bott. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Henry, Frederick, Walter, William, Albert, Elizabeth and Maria. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 in 1942 in Eltham, Surrey.²
