Matilda Margaret Groves

Matilda was born in June 1870 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight.¹ Matilda's father was Charles Groves and her mother was Kate Lowe. Her paternal grandparents were William Groves and Jane Barnett. She had a brother and three sisters, named Charles, Alice, Kate and Mary. She was the second youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 73 in December 1943 in Hampstead, Middlesex.²
