Kate Elizabeth Groves

Kate was born in March 1868 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight.¹ Kate's father was Charles Groves and her mother was Kate Lowe. Her paternal grandparents were William Groves and Jane Barnett. She had a brother and three sisters, named Charles, Alice, Matilda and Mary. She was the third oldest of the five children.
