Joseph William Groves

Joseph was born in June 1851 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight and his christening took place there on June 15th, 1851.¹² Joseph's father was Henry Groves and his mother was Jane Pilkington. His paternal grandparents were William Groves and Jane Barnett. He had a brother and a sister, named George and Jane. He was the oldest of the three children.
