Elizabeth was born in 1844 in Dunbar East Lothian Scotland.  Elizabeth's father was Mathew Comb and her mother was Mary Crombie.  Her paternal grandparents were James Comb and Anne Marr; her maternal grandparents were Richard Crombie and Margaret Hume. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Richard, William, Mathew, Margaret, Mary, Agnes and Jeanie.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died  due to Heart Disease for 1 year at the age of 43 on July 12th, 1887 in 6 Beach Lane Fisherrow Musselburgh Inveresk Mid Lothian Scotland.
