Agnes was born in 1841 in Dunbar East Lothian Scotland.  Agnes' father was Mathew Comb and her mother was Mary Crombie.  Her paternal grandparents were James Comb and Anne Marr; her maternal grandparents were Richard Crombie and Margaret Hume. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Richard, William, Mathew, Margaret, Mary, Elizabeth and Jeanie.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 60 in 1901 in St George Edinburgh Scotland.
