Fred KATZ

Fred was born on May 5th, 1942. Fred's father was Jack (Jacob) KATZ and his mother was Shirley BULKIN. His paternal grandparents were Sam KATZ and Gussie LNU; his maternal grandparents were David J. BULKIN and Anne Clara STRUZA (STRAUSS). He had a brother named Stewart Aaron. He died in an accident or as a result of an injury.

  Bert recalled (12/05) that when Jack's son Fred was 17, Jack marched him down to the enlistment office; Fred became a corpsman (medic).

  CMB: Sandy, did you ever meet Fred's father Jack Katz? Do you remember anything about him?
  Sandy: No I never met Jack. He was long gone when I came around. Didn't know that much about him other than he used to beat Fred. According to Fred. But he probably deserved some of it!!!
