Husband Jacob H.'s Feb 1904 NYC arrival record indicates he was a widower, thus Rebecca never reached U.S.; however, this NYC arrival record has some intriguing parallels in the names of the family members. It is probably aboutr an unrelated LAUER family that also settled in Brooklyn (see census records, WWI draft reg cards).
