Warren Calvin CHAMPLIN

Warren Calvin was born on August 25th, 1886. Warren Calvin's father was Albert C. CHAMPLIN and his mother was Dovie FRY. His paternal grandparents were Calvin CHAMPLIN and Elizabeth C. WISE. He was an only child.

  granddaughter Donna Bishop: "Their [Albert C. and Dovie's] only son, Warren Calvin, was born August 25, 1886 in Mt. Savage, Carter County, Kentucky. It appears that Albert and Dovie married in Indiana, traveled to Kentucky the following year and had their son and returned to Indiana. Warren lived in Jackson County, Ohio part of his youth. I have a school book of his showing what school he was attending and the teacher's name from 1899. ...Warren then moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania, met my grand mother, a widow with 3 children and married her. They only had one son, my father, Hugh Francis. He was born in Somerset County, Pennsylvania March 9, 1912."
