  Dovie's great-granddaughter Donna Bishop: "She [Dovie] had 2, possibly 3 children by him. Lucy Lamar, born February 18, 1889, William Lamar February 20, 1892, and a Pearl Lamar born July 1893. William supposedly died at birth. I have no knowledge of when Dovie died or where. I was told that she "ran off" and left her husband and children.   I am still trying to verify this. John Lamar gets remarried in 1895 so whatever happened to her it was before then."
